Yushuwa Nettles
Chief Executive Officer
Yushuwa Nettles is a veteran and former U.S. diplomat. He served at embassies worldwide, including as political advisor to the Ambassador for Human Rights at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya. He later became a senior executive management advisor with USAID, supporting operations in Tunisia, Libya, and Iraq during periods of transition and conflict.
These experiences shape his leadership at ALLFED. He understands firsthand how institutions, supply chains, and coordination can break down under stress—and why advance planning matters. As CEO, Yushuwa leads a geographically dispersed team united by ALLFED’s mission of “feeding everyone, no matter what.”
He designed and led Operation Last Harvest, a 24-hour tabletop exercise conducted in 2026 that exposed critical governance and coordination gaps in catastrophic food-system response. He continues to build partnerships with emerging food and agricultural technology companies and works with policymakers to advance resilient food systems on the national agenda.
Yushuwa holds an MBA and a Master of Management in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland University College, as well as a BS in Organizational and Security Management.
