Adam Steinberg
Donor Relations Coordinator
Adam started in media and communications in Chicago, editing and producing film and video, serving as editor-in-chief of an annual sustainability guide, and—having moved to Seattle—producing award-winning children’s educational software. He then drove east and pursued a masters in Musical Theatre Writing from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Creatively gratified but unable to convert this dream into a career, he found himself teaching English Language and Literature (IB, IGCSE, MYP programs) at international schools in Germany and Wales.
After leaving teaching in 2021 with a renewed focus on social impact and an interest in effective giving, he determined to use his capabilities to explore, explain and inspire effective solutions to the social and environmental problems of our time, in part through outreach and fundraising communications. Having moved to Manila, Philippines to support his wife’s career, he most recently served as philanthropy officer – Indo-Pacific for The Life You Can Save.
Also a freelance editor as well as part-time comms and outreach lead for an international Giving Games-style programme in high schools called Charity Elections (a project supported by Giving What We Can), in his spare time Adam follows US politics and writes and records original songs (lyricist.net), among other creative tomfoolery. He and his wife have two sons.
As donor relations coordinator Adam is thrilled to connect with supporters of ALLFED and deeply interested in understanding what drives people’s passions and in celebrating their acts of generosity.
